DRIVING IMPROVEMENT ACROSS HEALTH AND ADULT SOCIAL CARE

The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England, whether they’re provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies or voluntary organisations. They make sure people get better care. They do this by:

  • driving improvement across health and adult social care
  • putting people first and championing their rights
  • gathering and using knowledge and expertise and working with others
  • acting swiftly to remedy bad practice
